Westco Cares strives to foster a stronger and more vibrant environment for all residents by supporting local organizations through monetary gifts for community betterment projects or events. Our program is a testament to our commitment to creating positive change and improving the lives of individuals and families in our community.

At Westco Construction, we are deeply committed to the well-being and prosperity of our community. Rooted in Southern Alberta, we understand the unique needs and aspirations of our region. That’s why we proudly introduce the Westco Cares Community Gifting Program, a community-driven initiative aimed at supporting local organizations in making a positive impact on our community.

We understand the impact of unity, especially during challenging times, and we are thrilled to contribute to causes that bring support and joy to our community.

Up to $1,000 per event

Larger amounts require a meeting with the Marketing & Communications team.

Assistance with project deliverables such as renderings, labor, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for support from Westco Cares, organizations must meet the following criteria

  • Located within Southern Alberta
  • Projects or events that benefit the local community directly
  • Not for special interest events (i.e. weddings, religious gatherings, demonstrations, marches)
  • Retroactive expenses or accumulated deficits are not eligible for funding
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Westco Cares.

Evaluation Process

Each application will be carefully evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Alignment with Westco Cares’ mission and values.
  • Potential impact on the local community.
  • Feasibility and sustainability of the project or event.
  • In-kind (volunteer) hours will be valued at the living wage rate of $20.60 per hour for Southern Alberta, as determined by the Alberta Living Wage Network for 2023 when calculating the funding amount.

Questions And Answers

Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance and the support they will receive. Feedback will be provided to ensure clarity and alignment with the program’s goals.

Support cannot be used for special interest events such as weddings, religious gatherings, demonstrations, or marches. It also cannot be used for retroactive expenses or accumulated deficits. All supported events/projects must align with the mission and values of Westco Cares and benefit the local community directly.

Yes, organizations can apply for multiple streams of support if their projects or events meet the eligibility criteria and align with the core values of Westco Cares.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. However, we encourage early submissions to ensure ample time for review and planning.
