Replacement of the existing outdated wood structure platforms.

East platform – 8 rock anchors drilled 40ft down through multiple layers of rock, grouted and post tensioned to lock together failing rock structure.

East platform – vertical rock face reinforced with shotcrete.

New platforms sit on steel pile caps and piles drilled into the rock structure.

Platform structural framing is powder coated channel and beam components.

1.5″ hot dipped galvanized steel bar grating on structural framing.

Handrail is round stainless steel tubing.

Safety netting around perimeter is 3mm stainless steel Jacobs systems webnet.

Custom Newel posts with Parks Canada logo – powder coated.

150 ft. long x 6′ wide custom wood boardwalk on drilled piles and steel pile caps.

Custom guardrail / handrail along full length of custom wood boardwalk.

Helicopter was used to to fly in, land and flyout:

  • drilling equipment and materials
  • pre-build platforms modules, hot dip galvanized 1.5″ steel bar grating
  • demolished old wood platforms
